Yesterday, as I was taking you from dance class to Eleanor's house, a fire truck came racing down the street with its lights flashing. I heard you say a prayer out loud in the backseat: "God, please help whoever it is who is in trouble." I loved seeing a little window into your heart, Anna.
When I was running today, there were three women in our running group ahead of us, and Tina (who I was running with) and I could see that they'd stopped and huddled together to give one of the women a hug. We knew she'd been going through a tough time with her son. We did not want to run over to add more drama to the scene so we just kept running and prayed together for her. It was like that fire truck yesterday, and I just prayed for mercy, for love, for healing.
As I prayed for this running friend, I also prayed for you that God would keep on expanding your heart and that He would continue to give you words when you need them for you or for others to cry out to Him for help.
Listen to my prayer for mercy as I cry out to you for help.
Psalm 28:2
I cry out to the LORD; I plead for the LORD's mercy.
Psalm 142:1
I am so grateful for your compassionate heart, Anna.
XOXO....
